§ Achievements in various Activities

• Children painting competition 2008 organized by Lions Club, Dehradun in which Anmol Chauhan of class VII-A won I^st prize (in GR-C).

• In G.K. competition 2009, organized by O.N.G.C. in which all 6 prizes (in Junior and Senior categories) were won by the students of KV O.N.G.C., Dehradun.

• In Drawing and Painting competition 2009 held by ONGC all 10 prizes in (Primary category) were won by the students of KV, ONGC,D.Dun.

• In 21^st National Youth Parliament Competition (at Regional level) KV O.N.G.C. got second position and 6 of the students secured I, II, III and special prizes also.

• In inter school Essay-writing competition organized in O.N.G.C. (During security Awareness Week), our student Shubham Gupta of VIII D, Sarita Singh of XI-D and Anukul Tripathi of VIII-C won I^st, II^nd and consolation prizes respectively.

• In December 2008, a Judo-Competition was organized by the Deptt. Of Sports, Uttarakhand Govt. in which three of our students won medals.

• Anushka - VII B - Silver Medal
• Nikita - IX D - Silver Medal
• Rashmi - VII B - Bronze Medal

• In 51^st Annual all India UN Information Tech -2008, total 192 students passed and secured special certificates from USO (UNO).

• Tarun Sangeet Evam Vichar Mancha, Dehradun conducted 30^th Mathematical Ability merit scholarship test-2008 in which 14 student cleared and got merit certificates.

• An education tour was organized by the department of History K,O.N.G.C. to Kalsi and Ponta Sahib on 13^st December 2008.

• Piyush Singh of XII A2 got scholarship in NTSC of Rs. 500/= per month till the academic studies goes on.

• Stood second in Group Mathematics Olympiad (GMO) conducted by KVS at All India level and laso attempted for Indian National Mathematics Olympiad (INMO). And was also selected in Indian National Olympiad in Informatics (INOI) among top 250 applicants.

• National Education Day was celebrated on 11^th Nov, 2008. Essay writing, Slogan writing, Card-making competition were held and prizes were given to the winners.

• Vigilance Awareness week was celebrated on 7^th Nov, 2008 along with speeches pledge in Hindi and English were taken in the morning assembly.
• On-The-Spot painting competition 2008 held by Col. Brown, Cambridge school, Dehradun. Arti Singhal won second prize and Abhishek Pal won consolation prize.

• Wide publicity was given to the “Re-structured Twenty Point Programme” of ministry of statistics and programme implementation in June, 2008.

• Arranged/Managed the mobile exhibition “BHARAT SAMRIDHI RATH” on 6^th Nov, 2008, sponsored by O.N.G.C., N.C.C., Deptt. Of Technology, G.O.I. and Industries.

• The Command Harmony week was observed from 19^th Nov, 2008 to 25^th Nov, 2008 and Flag-Day on 25^th Nov, 2008 and a nice collection of over Rs. 3000/= was done and was sent to N.F.C.H. Delhi.

• Harshit Sharma of class III won Gold Medal in 8^th I.F.M.A. Indian National Marathon Championship-2008.

• Armed Forces Flag-Day was observed on 8^th Dec, 2008 and a good collection of Rs. 4050/= was sent vide a D.D.

• Apoorva Goyal of class X secured 5^th rank in All India Level in second Bio-Technology Olympiad and was awarded Rs. 500/= cash prize.

• Along with Independence Day, Republic Day, National Education Day, Children’s Day, KVS Foundation Day etc. were also celebrated.
