Admission Guidelines
          Admission procedure to Vidyalaya is Strictly based on the Admission Rules of the KVS. If a candidates fulfils the KVS rules and regulations then only he/she is given admission in the Vidyalaya. Normally admission is given in class 1 and after that student can transferred to any Kendriya Vidyalaya in the globe. Fresh Admission to class other than class 1 is given if seats are available in the class in which admission is sorted. Admission in class 1 is given on the basis of category. For other classes the merit within the category has been introduced.
          To encourage the bright students in Senior Secondary Class XI), students having more than 80% marks in class X are given admission over and above the class strength irrespective of category.
Rules for Admission to the Vidyalaya are as follows:
1. Registration :
          Registration forms would be made available on payment of Rs. 100.00 as per schedule given below:

2. Priorities for Admission :
          For admission, priority has been given to the wards of central and state Govt. employees and floating population.

  • Children of the employees of ONGC Ltd. And its allied department.
  • Children of transferable Central Government employees including ex servicemen.
  • Children of non-transferable Central Government employees including ex-servicemen
  • Children of transferable and non-transferable of Autonomous Bodies/Public Sector undertakings/Institute of higher learning of the Government of India
  • Children of transferable State Government employees
  • Children of non-transferable State Government employees
  • Children of transferable and non-transferable of Autonomous Bodies/Public Sector undertakings/Institute of higher learning of the State Government.
  • Children From any other Category

3. Eligible age of admission :
      Minimum Age Limit Class 1 : 5 years as on 30th Sept in the academic year in which admission is being sought.
      For Subsequent Classes : the eligible age would be reckoned again with reference to 30th Sept with a proportionate increase over 5 years.
      Upper age Limit : minimum age limit + 2 years.
      Relaxation : No relaxation except for handicapped children by 2 years for maximum age.

3. Admission Procedure :
a)      For Class 1: No admission test, lottery system if more registration in one category.
b)      Class 2 and above except Class XI : Admission test would be conducted and a merit list is prepared for each category of priority separately. The level of the test would be of level of annual exam of the class proceeding the one to which admission is being sought.

c)      Class 11 : Admission would be made in order of merit in the sequence of categories of priorities on the basis of Board's results of class 10 and criterion laid down by KVS, New Delhi.

5. Admission on transfer from other Kendriya Vidyalaya :
        All students except those who were admitted in the former Kendriya Vidyalaya in that academic session , are given admission is sought provided seats are available and on furnishing the proof of residence near by Vidyalaya. However cases which were admitted in the same academic session will not be valid for automatic admission.
  NOTE :-
  • Candidates securing Less than 35% marks in each Subject & Less than 40% marks in aggregate would not be eligible for admission irrespective on the priority.
  • Fresh admission will be made only when the Class strength is below 40.
  • Fresh admission for all classes shall be completed by 31st July each year.
  • Those seeking admission shall have to produce a Transfer Certificate from the school last attended alone with the Progress Report. In case the school is not KV the TC should be endorsed by the Distt, Education Officer.
